I got a set on order too. I went with 4300k, since I did some reading and saw that people who have both 6000k & 4300k usually start with the 6's, but when they swap to 4300 they say the light is brighter and they leave the 43's in. At least that's what I read on hidplanet.com - plus I could care less if I have that 'pimp blue' tint on my lights.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I would have gone with the 4300k too but the pics on their site were kinda missleading in that the 4300k was more yellow. Oh well, 600k is still the tits and look/perform better than regular bulbs8)

I have the 4300K in my E36, they are fabulous !!

A friend of mine put the 6000K in his truck and they are only a slightly whiter color which even tho the lumens are slightly lower the whiter light looks better...

I may not like them in the ellipsoids but they will be fine none the less...

Just my opinion.. Mine have been shipped and should be here anyday..

I hear ya. I pretty much went on blind faith of the experiences of those on the hid website. I might wish I got what you got. It might be a bit before my car runs, but we should figure out a benchmark way to compare our lights - maybe some sort of roadsign, distance - something anyhow - just so we can compare for ourselves and to give others a idea of what to expect.

That is a good idea. My car should be driving by next week (crosses fingers) so I can test them on the ground in normal driving conditions.

i went with the 5000k bulbs. they are pretty blue when they light up, and then get really white and super bright (from driver's perspective). but my friends say that they looks very blue and sort of fluctuate between white and blue when viewed from outside the car and from a distance.

IMHO 5000k is the perfect color.

I've had 5000 and 6000 and will order 5000 when the time comes for the new project car.

I have been driving around a little and the light output is past fucking awsome. I could drive with my eyes closed and still be able to see. I am very happy with this set up. Will get some outside pics shortly. My diff is almost compleatly dead now though:(

Here is a pic of the lights on outside. I am in my garage and my driveway is a slight hill so the lights look higher. The output is the shit.

Just found this thread. Awesome info here. Makes me want to invest in lighting afterall. Does this kit only give you HID low beams? Im confused on this aspect.

Yes, just low beams... I got one of these kits and I'm very happy with it..

Edit: The best thing is you almost don't need high beams... the light from the HIDs is incredible...
