my right side high beam has blown 2 fuses so far. i had sealed beams and now i have euro ellips.
so does the h1 bulbs need a different fuse then regular sealed beams?

Maybe throw in a higher voltage fuse, that should do it.

FWIW it is a good idea to check wiring before tossing in a bigger fuse. I know it is "OK" to toss one in there, but you want to be sure. I remember a girl I knew that tossed in a bigger fuse to her power roof on her convertable...two days later her car was in flames on the side of the road. (faulty roof switch)

after i put in a new fuse, it lasts awhile then calls it quits.
wiring wasn't touched all summer and the fuse lasted through the summer also.

The original fuse is fine. You have some sort of wiring issue.

Agreed. Something is wrong. Swapping in a higher amperage fuse is generally a BAD idea. The wiring was designed only to handle a certain current load and a fuse prevents the wires from frying. By putting in a larger fuse, you risk melting wiring and letting out the smoke that is oh-so-hard to get back in. :)

Dear God. This is why I'm terrified to buy a used car.

When your blower motor pops the fuse, it is on its way out. Your car sounds like a fire hazard now.
