Red headlights, the evil version of French headlights

I saw this racecar on the video sections "E30s" movie.

i thought it looked really sweet and EVIL

I'm guessing these would definately be illegal on U.S. roads, duh. What about french (yellow) headlights, are those cool?

but could covers be made.....for track events, etc.
I don't think much light could go through, so they could only be used in daytime, or with *bright* foglights.

those were red covers to allow drivers to run headlights for increased visibility by other drivers.

Yellow ones would be legal here in the US I think.

What im wondering is what they use for the Le Mans lights on the GT class that has to run yellow head lights. Going 150 you would need some pretty nice lights, so what part give it the yellow?

      I bombed Korea every night.

The GT cars are running really high wattage bulbs. Wouldn't plastic melt under those conditions? I run 100W PIAA Rally bulbs in my fogs and they get damn hot in short time.
Just livin in the OC minus my E30

For a while I've wondered if the GT cars arent running some version od a HID setup, and use the yellow covers to prevent blinding the cars they are following.

I have no idea as to what they use for lighting setups.
