a friend of mine who i coach little league with dropped by the
house today to drop off some baseball stuff...he wanted to show
me some of the stuff he had just done to his black Audi A4 last
week...

he had the front bumper cover reconditioned and painted and
added some aftermarket headlight units that looked pretty cool
at first glance--until i noticed the condensation that had formed
in one of the units...that's when i noticed the "DEPO" embossing
in the plastic covers...pro car parts on ebay got him for $300
on that crap--that's even worse than the $169 e30 units that are
often found there!

just this weekend, i bit the bullet and dropped the bucks on the
abrahams motorsport Hella ellipsoid group buy--and man, am I
ever glad that I did!

I think they were 400 for either white or blackline ellips. Cheaper than any other RELIABLE source.

Invest in the 3M headlight protectors for your now collectible lights. They protected the glass on mine from damage in a wreck that destroyed the plastic frames and the metal behind them.

they did end up being a little more than $400--about $440 or so...but
they included correct wiring and connectors...

a good deal considering that i had been checking with some european
recyclers in the southeast (strictly german in atlanta, etc.) and those
guys a getting $200 PER UNIT--not per pair--for used us ellipsoids...
they USUALLY go for a little less on Ebay...although recently some
complete idiot dropped $300 on a used pair (congrats jordan)...

everybody else wanted $550 plus for the euro Hellas new...the group
buy was a good deal...
