    Daytime Running lights bypass

I have the Canadian Spec on my 318is and my lows are on no matter what unless i put the light switch in position 2 witch is just my marker lights is there any way to make position one just my marker lights and have them turn off when i turn my car off and not have them stay on like in position 2, Then position 3 id have as my lights lows or highs.

Hey crunk3, hope you got this resolved,

I guess we all want something that is different, maybe just to be different.

I would like my lights (position 2) to be on when I start the car, is that possible? Anyone has done this?

        Thanks fellas.

If we switch out the headlight switch for the US version, would that work?

            MikesJo,

That sounds like a good idea, not sure if that will work but if any one else has an opinion on this please let us know. I'm willing to buy or swap one out.

no it wont work....it has nothing to do with the switch.

The whole system needs to be rewired.
you have to by-pass all the current relay's and put in your own.

The solution is to swap out the low beam relay(s)

                  From - K4 - p/n 61361388364
                  To - K4 - p/n 61368353447

                  Easy peasy.

ok sorry to bring this thread back from the past but the K4 relay has a center (5th prong). not working, anyone else ran into this problem. this relay i got was from the junkyard and it's from a e36, it has the same part number as Donkeyshins mentioned.
