What's the best H1 for an elip low beam?

I just ordered the Philips bulbs from powerbulbs.co.uk, I'll let you know how they are. They were better reviewed than the Osrams and I'm really happy with the Philips bulbs that came with my lights so I figured I'd give it a shot.

i just ordered the phillips vision plus h1's from powerbulbs too.. they were reviewed by autoexpress as better than osram silverstar h1s.

They're here! Wow, what a difference... I'd been running basic GE 55w H1s for the last few weeks and then the other day I decided to give those Optilux blue things another shot. They're supposedly a 100w but they were hardly even as bright as the $5 GEs, just bluer. The Philips are insane and have a very nice, natural white light, similar to the GEs but a gazillion times brighter.

In my high beams I also have Philips bulbs but they came with the headlights and I don't know what they are. They are also insanely bright but have a pale yellow cast that I love in the highs but didn't like in the lows. Any idea what they might be? I'm terrified that they'll burn out and I won't be able to purchase the same ones again.

I decided to save my money on expensive euro and us bulbs and purchase HID kits for my euro ellips. Never been happier...

I would not run 100w bulbs in your car or any for that matter. They have the potential to burn you wires up and could cause a fire from the overheating of the wiring. Stick with the 55w bulbs. Start saving for hids. I got mine for $170 and have never been happier with them. Remember the $35 hid kits on ebay? They are the ones that I got. They sell for more than $35, but they are still cheap. Once you drive an hid car, you will wonder how you lived without them.

Yeah, I think I will stick with the 55w bulbs for now and then grab some hids in the future.
