The last time I did an HID conversion about three years ago, I had a philips kit that required connecting the hot directly to the battery for light ignition. Now I see kits that are truly plug and play without the need to run separate power leads to the battery. Is one better than the other? Also, I see the Prolumen kit has separate ballast and ignitors. I was always under the impression that the combined ballast/ignitor was better (as in the Philips kit) ?
