Fog Lights Without Low Beams on 90???

I just used the procedure on bmwe30.net to run my fogs independently/with my parking lights by jumping the 87 and 30 pin on the fog relay. However, this is causing my fogs to stay on regardless of the fog switch being on or off or even the key being in. Can someone tell me what the deal is? I would still rather have the option of turning them on or off via the switch. Thanks

I have an '89 and it work perfectly on my car. I think it's a year thing, maybe '90 and newer it won't work.

The only draw back is you can potentially run your battery down due to the fact that the fogs will stay on even with the car off and key out.
