100watt H3 bulbs in my fog lights?

i was wondering if 100w h3 bulbs will work fine for my foglights on my 89 e30, or will it melt the wires? whats the worst that can happen?

Yea its a bad idea. It will work well for a short while but you will melt stuff and it wont be worth the little bit of brightness that you gained.

I installed 100w hella h3s into my foglight housings. Nothing melted, but they went out in a matter of days, so it's not worth it.

                      Ouch!

-That badge is kinda lame, unless you are packing a S code engine, and so far I haven't heard of an IX swapped yet.
Put the badge on yer toolbox, it'll look just as cool and you won't catch isht from other BMW guys.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

If BMW knew the trouble this issue caused they prolly wouldn't have made these badges available. Then again the company doesn't to care what a large cross section of loyal Bimmer fahrers think.
