if you're talking about the little cluster of lights that go into the bulb socket, don't waste your time. i tried em on my honda.
the difference in brightness between the dim running light and the bright brake light is not very much, if i didn't have the 3rd brakelight i'd be worried that they didn't realize i'm braking.
also they aren't as bright, they just send the light straight foreward and light up a little circle instead of the whole housing.
i want to do LED lights on the e30 but i think what i'll do is mod the light unit to have a whole grid of LED's on it. those swap-in bulbs are just too lame.sigpic

I bought mine at Norvac. Just as bright and they give a nice little concentrated dot of light in the middle. The on/off time is also slightly faster (Milliseconds) but noticable. I bought a LED flasher to get them back to flashing at normal speed. They make alittle more sence as brake lights as the driver behind will have alittle bit more time to spot you braking. Its not much but at 60-80mph it could make a difference.Comment
