    connectors for bosch euro smilies

    hey there...

Any of you know where I can purchase connectors for bosch euro smilies, and if so, how much they would cost? Can I just use the existing plugs from my stock '87is lights? Thanks.

I'm looking for the same thing. Does anybody have the part number list for the connectors that are needed to do this conversion?

      I found it:

Get the part numbers for the connectors listed and you can buy them at your local BMW dealership

So that write up is wrong? If so, please let us know what we need for connectors and how to splice them onto the US harness.

Because it is easy, I just did this with one of my cars that had ellipsoids and I converted it, took maybe and hour between cutting and soldering and heat shrinking.

Now I will be doing it over in about two weeks due to I bought HID's.

so you actually call up a dealer and buy the connectors?

wtf is everyone's problem? i see people all the time, "oh, you dont have connectors? your sale sucks" and "im getting rid of them because they didnt have connectors"

I just ordered the connectors from BMA. BMA's prices were cheaper than my local dealership.

I think that a lot of people don't want to spend an hour to do the conversion or they are too stupid to figure it out. They just want them to be plug and play.

Yup, I never understood why its considered to be so difficult. Order the connectors and solder/splice them in. I wired mine in parallel with my us connectors just in case I ever put them back on.

                          Good Afternoon Gentlemen,

I know there are articles somewhere but I know that some ways are much more difficult than others and I was hoping you could point me in the best direction or share your conversion stories!

Thanks a lot guys! I appreciate it!

OH and why is there three connectors on the smiles, yet only two connectors on the US Spec? Thanks!

the third connector is for the city light (small bulb within the low beam housing). US ellips don't have a city light.
