HID Kit - Do I Need A Relay / Harness?

    Hey guys,

Bought an HID kit - it did not come w/ a relay / harness thing --- do I need one?

    Is this what I need?

Also, my kit's instructions mention drawing power from the battery --- do I have to do that? Does that mean they will be draining the battery while the car is not running... ?

    Thanks!

Depends on your kit. Mine came with one but I didn't need it.

You should be able to just attach them to the 9005 plugs. They're like 35watts... you could power them from the heat of your shit.

unlike many cars e30s are already relayed from the factory meaning the power isnt being pulled through the switch.. the stock plugs should work just fine to trigger the hid

i would say then that youre gonna need the harness to convert your sealed beam plug to a 9005/9006 harness. once done youll be able to plug that into the ballast. wait a minute, youre gonna have to get elipsoid housings also then!

                    Yeah um

you're going to need AT LEAST US elipsoids to use HIDs, unless the HIDs came in some stupid sealed beam package, which is very doubtful.
