Oh, also, do I need one of those relay harnesses? I see some kits come with them, with a fuse and relay in a wiring harness --- do I need that?

Is these going into a sealed beam car or a ellips light car? cause if it is a ellips car from the factory you don't have to do the relay mod. And you souldn't need that harness your talking about.

Mines a sealed beam car and my HIDs did not come with any thing like that. I have had my HIDs in for about 6 or 7 months now with no problem. And you will have to do the relay mod for your lows to stay on with your highs.

So I just run a wire from the #30 pin on the low beam relay to the #30 pin on the high beam relay?
Is that -safe- ? Don't want to burn up the fusebox...Comment

Ok, fair 'nuff.
Finally --- what about the city lights? How do I wire those up, on a sealed beam car?Comment

Sorry if I was confusing all I was saying is that the factory 9006 plug for US ellip should plug into the ballast instead of cutting and splicing wires together, for some reason I thought you had US ellips.:: PNW Crew ::

And when you do the relay mod, you may want to drill the holes and run the wire through them and then solder them into place. Cause mine will come lose sometimes and then i will only have high beams on instead of both high and lows.

Got it. So drill holes in the pins, and solder the wires into place on the pins.
Thanks for all the good info!Comment

precicely. I had HID's in my gti before I did the rallye lights and I didn't even cut any wires to hook mine up. I was just poking around to see what bulbs these use to see if I can use my HID's in them.Bryan - 1989 325i S50 swapped /1990 Audi Coupe QuattroComment
