    Euro reflectorless trim

Surely there is a place that sells it far cheaper than 120 bucks? That's outrageous for something so small and simple...

Tough luck my friend, thats the cheapest it gets. You can try and find a late model euro parts car and take the busted, old, faded trim and break all the little brackets to save you money!

That is, if there were any euro late models to be found...gotta pay to play. Oh and go check other BMW OEM prices...hah like an OBC or buttons.
    Reminiscing...

Is there any place that sells the reflectors in smoked clear? Anything but these amber, but I can't justify 120 at this point.

Put a piece of electrical tape over them. Ghetto, yes, but if it is really bothering you...

The goal is to make the car look more classy/euro by removing the amber. Something so ghetto wouldn't exactly accomplish that.

When I got my Euro trim (about 1.5 years ago), Patrick at BMA was charging $100 for the 4 corner pieces.

You can smoke the sidemarkers if you don't want to spend the money for the euro trim though. Before I upgraded to euro trim, I smashed out the stock lenses on my sidemarkers and got some smoked plastic cut to fit perfectly in the stock housings.
After spending all day buying smoked plexiglass, cutting, measuring, sanding, and gluing the smoked lenses in, it's not worth it though. Just buy the Euro trim.

I think I'll take your advice and just bite the bullet. Thanks for sharing your experience.

You really should sell your car if 120 dollar trim is bothering you, price out a new taillight, door or anything else and get back to me...cars aren't cheap. Keep it stock if you don't like spending money...

Lol. Talk to me about expensive parts after you've owned and modded an e39 540i 6speed. Headlights: 1000, sways installed: 1000, interior aluminum trim (to replace wood trim): $1400, LSD: $2500, M5 body kit: $3000 without paint..... one front rotor = the same cost as all four rotors on an e30.

I'm getting into e30's because vs. other BMW's I've owned (6 thus far) they are so comparatively inexpensive in about every way. Also, the community seems to be very budget-conscious and able to find inexpensive alternatives to some things, so I figured if I could spend 20 dollars instead of 120 dollars, why not?

I love spending money. I just don't have much to spend.

Hmm... wonder if those two are related...

ahheck01 someone posted earlier about just using hair bondo + regular bondo (i obviously dont know much about bondo). and with a little sanding he got it to look exactly like the euro trim with spending less than 40USD i think.

But what about the man hours that go into doing that? I'd much rather pay to play then do body work. Mostly cause I have no time to do stuff like that. And thats why I just cracked down and spent the money on the trim, and it looks great.
