no fogs, howto wire the new fogs?

I have a new front valance with bumper, they come with OEM fogs. In my 86 do not come with fogs.

I need to know how to wire them and plugs, etc. I'll probably need to get a new switch for the fogs but where?

I'm new to E30's so thanks for all your help.

BTW: This is my first mod.

Plastic front bumper with reiger lip, smoked turn signals.

well, if u have plugs, u can figure out which is the pos/neg wires, and the easy thing to do would be to hardwire them into the pos/neg of your headlights to come on with your headlights...

Or a little more complicated, get a switch, and wire the foglights to a switch with an inline fuse, then the switch to a power source, and u have independent fogs at a flip of the switch.

I'll have to get the connectors and wire them to my city lights so they come on every time I turn my city lights on. I think that is the easiest way to do it.

      Thanks for your help.

I know the late-model E30s are prewired for foglights - connectors and wiring are all in place, you just have to add the lights and a switch. Not sure about yours, but it can't hurt to look. See if there is a connector hanging out under the front valance that is not connected to anything, wires look to be black and brown from the ETM.

Pictures 2,3,4 are the connectors for your fogs( brown=ground, other wire is hot). My 87 was the same way(use a test light to make sure yours is the same), someone put a late model front end on it and they did not use the factory fog light plugs. Instead they wired the fogs up to the low beams. So i wired them in the correct way, but now i'm going to put the early model euro front end on the car and have to change the fog light plugs around to the early style again.
