it all depends... you can make it work, just do what your theme is. All purist will tell you to get smiley's. So you have to determine if you are purist or not. :)

Like I said on the other thread, alot of car enthusiast are arrogant as hell. If they think you are a loser for getting angel eyes and not smileys... then you know who the real loser is.

i try not to judge until we meet face to face. but normally, one's interests do a pretty good job of a character rendering - whether or not this person is easily influenced by the media and fake present day we live in.

I hope you're not buying those from that site. Both of those lights are Chinese pieces of shit. Made by Depo... do a search and find out how shitty they are. Engineered and produced with no regard for optics.

If I were you, I would drop $150-200 on a decent set of Euro ellips (smiley or non). They have the best beam pattern.

I agree with everything you say, but angel eyes is not exactly a rendering of a person character... it can be done right. As long as you dont put neon lights under your car and chrome your handles, I think I can keep an open mind.

angel eyes are the first step to this though, once you do those its only a matter of time till the streetglow shows. i dont think angel eyes look good on any car that has the old school non housing headlights i.e. e32,e34,e30. im more function over form so go with the smileys.

more than just a few listed on pbmw feature has angel eyes. You definitely will get hated here, as r3v, most of the active member on here are smiley and euro grill bias, then again, most people on here wants mtech fabric, and stock is lip, stock lighted rearview mirror, is side skirts, etc. So you will have 500 like minded people with the same taste and wants tell you the same thing...

I say do what you like, and dont listen to other people. I'm not for nor against angel eyes, nor any oem stuff, but its not that crazy to have depo housing.

I also have TSW wheels, and R3V people rip it to shreads and on other forums people like them. If I would to characterize r3v as a forum politically, I would say its very conservative.

I had a set on for a little while, still have them with all my other lights. They can be done, but most end up looking cheap and ricerish. Eyebrows are a must.

And yes, contrary to their own beleif, r3v is full of conformists. Despite what most tell themselves. Most of the time they are right however, they are just a little over zealous about it sometimes. :)

If you do them, you need to either get new or updated lenses/lights all around, otherwise they look even more out of place. Sort of like e36 guys who get them and keep nasty faded corners right next to shiny main beams.
