    89 Headlight Out

    Hi all,

I've got an 89 325i with an 8/88 build date. My driver side low beam is out. Since there is a lot of talk about ellipsoid, sealed beam, and smileys(mine doesn't have them), which do my car have, and is it a simple bulb replacement or do I need to replace the unit? What kind of bulb is it? If this topic has been covered before please point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance!

Your car will have the US Ellipsoids as standard .
The low beam bulb is just a easy to get to bulb that you can replace , its a 9006 .

EDIT : Remember not to touch the new bulb with your bare hands , just grab it by the base .
The oils in your skin will shoten the bulbs life if contact is made with the glass .
