Hella Ellipsoid e30 vs e34 compatibility

I look quite throughly and cant find anything regarding this, please shine some light on this matter.

Will the high beam on a e34 hella ellipsoid fit an e30?

I think its the same, just different brackets to fit the cars

the mounting points on the actual ellip's are different. Ive tried numerous times to use e34 lights but it just doesnt work well. You will have no adjustments with the e34 lights mounted on the e30 bracket and if you cant adjust your shit properly might as well stay with sealed beams!!

i just put a set on mine, theyre zip tied on (lol) but they are actually aimed perfectly. the problem im having is with the wiring.
