      ^ Agreed.

BMW uses 4300K or something along those lines.

you know there really isn't something that monitors K's between different manufactures. jackass ricer's who thing the higher the # or the bluer it is the brighter it is so they can brag they have 12000K lights. well, sometimes when you get 6000K bulbs, they might actually be something into the 8000K range while some 6000K is more like 5000K. each kit's different so basically YMMV

I have 55w 6k HID setups in my cabrio and my E39. They aren't bluish in the least, but I did read somewhere that the 55w ballast shifts all the color spectrums up one, so 6k looks like 5k. I dunno, but I love them. They are ridiculously bright.

I dig my 4300k with bi-xenon projectors... I don't know how they do with halogen ellips though.

it all depends on the brand. if youre rocking cheap ebay kits, you get what you pay for. the 6 and 5k prolumens ive owned kick ass.

That's interesting, that might explain why my 5ks look about the same as the OEM HIDs in an E46 I compared them to. I was wondering if I had gotten sent the wrong temperature or something.
