hid ballast problem

well yesterday I finally got around to installing my HID's. Everything worked fine in the beginning but today I turned on my lights and driver side went out b4 it could fully light up. If i turn em off wait a couple seconds and turn them back on it works but only for like 2 seconds. So im sure its a wiring or ballast issue. Any suggestions?

never mind. turns out it was the headlight relay. Me and my buddy are gonna re-wire using the stock relay's with thicker gauge wiring going from the realy to the lights.
