    Apexcone HID's

I JUST finished installing this 35w slim ballast kit on my car.

Should I worry about my battery dying?

Is there anything else I need?

Should I upgrade my fuses or anything?

Mine has been treating me just fine. I left every thing alone with no problems.

From what I've read, nothing else has to be done. I didn't with mine, and have had no problems thus far.

Is it strange that it doesnt seem to be as wide as newer cars?

seems my lights don't take up as many lanes as I thought...

That is the way our headlight housing is designed. Don't worry about your battery either. Having a extra amp in your car will take up more juice then HID's.

do you have euro ellipsoids? they have a very different beam pattern than the US ellipsoids.

yeah, its better than stock 9006.

but in euro smileys the HIDs are much more spread out and effective.

is it really? all euro cars that i've owned and switched out US spec headlights to euro pattern always had a narrower, brighter pattern. then again, it was always VWs.

my car came w/ sealed beams and i have since switched to US ellips and the pattern is narrower but brighter (concentrated).

my other e30 has euro ellips in it already and it always seemed narrower than my sealed beams, but they are depo (boo!).

I love my HIDs too, they are great. I'm curious about the above comments though regarding euro lights having either a tighter or broader pattern.

I've got xenon's and euro elips and i liked the beam pattern better on my non projected mk4 v dub. But then again my lights were not adjusted for the drop.
