Help with HID's - Basic question

I'm just trying to figure out how to hook up from a euro headlight connector to my 9006 HID ballast. Anyone know where to buy the pigtail adapters??????????????

Well, that still doesnt really help me I guess. When you say ran them seperate, does that mean found another relayed 12v source and ground? Thats kind of weird.


P.S - No I dont have any extra parts. Sorry. Thanks for the reply though

In MY car, the PO actually ran the HIDs separate from the stock harness.
(which was great when the HIDs shit the bed and I had to take a trip) I just pulled the ballasts and HIDs and am running the original H1s, until I feel like effing with the HIDs again.
Oh, and I have euro smilies as well.

That's what I would suggest.

p.s. you wouldn't happen to have an extra cup with the male connector and wires in it for the rear of the low beam would you?
Like I said, the PO hacked the cups to install the HIDs and I only found one good one so far, so i have the other one jury rigged right now

All right I've been searching and finding useless information. I feel like I'm missing something or maybe its because i'm retarded.


I have euro smilies that came with the connectors. I wired them up (soldered) to my early car harness. Everything works great, city lights are wired up etc..

So, I had my ballasts from my old E36 I found in my garage. I've got H1 lights that work in my Hella smilies. What do I do to get the connector that would normally connect to the Hella smiley to connect to the ballast? The ballast connection appears to be a 9006 connector. I'm gathering there is a pigtail I can buy to adapt the two together. Wiring is the bain of my existence. Can anyone clarify what I should be doing? If I need a pigtail to adapt the two together, where do I buy?
