I know there have been many questions about H.I.D's and i've done all kinds of searching. I recently retrofitted a set of H.I.D's into my U.S. ellips. And for whatever reason my driver side keeps going out. I will wire them up and test them and they will work fine. The next day when I go to start the car the driver side headlight will not work and the check low beam light will be on, on the computer. So basically my issue is after a short period of time(usually one day) the driver side headlight will not work.
I have tried different ballasts, different igniters(they are separate), and different bulbs.
I also replaced all the 7.5amp fuses with 10amp fuses.
I cut the old low beam connector off, and wired them directly to the wiring from the ballast.

Here is a pic of how I wired them. You can see the yellow(hot) and brown(ground) factory bmw wires towards the bottom, and the yellow(hot) and brown(ground) on the top from the range rover(where I got the H.I.D's from)
