    Ellipsoid adjusting screws

    Yeah, I've searched.

Anyone know where to get a deal on these? My dealership wants $14.50/each, Pelican wants $12/each. Right now the passenger-side low beam on my Euro ellipsoids is pointed at the ground, and the screw is all fecked up. Too bad the US sealed beam adjusters are different or I'd salvage them off of my old lights.

It's a problem when you need more than one of the stupid things. There are eight in the pair of headlight assemblies.

By your description, you only needed one. Sorry for misinterpreting your words.

They're all in bad shape, but one is giving me fits. I'm afraid that I'm going to lose a few more when I start trying to fine-tune things. I guess I'll order one, then pull the others out and see if I can clean them up. It would be nice if BMW would offer a frame rebuild kit at a bulk-purchase discount.

Those little black things are right near $7 a piece at the local dealership. The full set of adjuster screws was $150 IIRC. Clean the ones you have, they clean up pretty well and don't cost a shit ton of money.

                      mine have some broken tabs.

$7 ea at the dealer? I'll just pay the shipping and get them from rmeuropean.com then because I found them for $1.09 each!

the adjuster screw has a ball at the end where the phillips head is and these little black cone shapes clip onto the ends and then they are inserted into the ellipsoid mounting tabs.
The little black clips hold the light onto the adjuster basically.

This is where I went for my goodies.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
                              Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.
