Instrument cluster gauge lights (amber)

Hi, I did a few searches, but none turned up what I'm looking for.

The whole left side of my gauges (the main amber lighting) is out. The right side is fine, as are all emergency/CEL/etc lights, and the headlight dimmer switch is also functional. I expect it's one or more burned-out bulbs, but don't know which one.

Is it #1 in the pic? If so, is this part number 2821?
Also, what's #2 in the pic for? Should there be a bulb in the corresponding position on the RH side?

why not pull the bulb out and see if it's out or not? Just look at the bulb, and bam.

and what is that cluster out of? doesn't look like any of mine. I have 4 plugs on all of them. Is it because you don't have cruise control, or what? Confused a little.

Because my car is an airbag car and thus has the ridiculous metal brace & other stuff in the way (no easy/quick under-dash access for me). I want to get in there once - with the right bulb in-hand. Thanks though - wish I had the time to just go look.

This is a VDO cluster from a late-model "I" car. It's in my car right now - I had this pic from when I bought it.

may have something to do w/your batteries and the si board.

#2 is for the "low fuel" light. #1 is the cluster light, twist the black thing out, pull the bulb, replace with fresh #194. Done.
