sounds like your reflectors are trashed. i have 35watt 5k prolumens in my wifes car with us elips and we have no issues and can see for days. its unfortunate that everyone has a different idea of what kelvin should be what color.

I just ordered a set of yellow HID bulbs, to try as a replacement for my 6kKs..

5000k slim ballast (35w i think) through euro projectors

this is the one with a good reflector

this is the one with a bad reflector (showing you this so you know that even with HIDs if your headlights are in bad shape they too are useless)

I think so. I don't believe they made a 55watt yellow bulb when I looked.

I hate Cali, that kind of stuff disgusts me. Who made these laws up? Did you ever vote on them? I don't understand it at all.

    6K H1 / 3K H3

3K H1 - had to take them out after 3 days, got a fix-it ticket.

Ive got 6k ones in my low beam projectors..

I hate them.. 90% of my driving time (commute) is in the dark.. they just aren't bright enough for me, especially in the rain...

I had 4300k in my Subaru, and they were fine, albeit no projectors, just in the stock housings..

bought them on ebay, for 59$.. plug-n-play, took literally 3 minutes to install..

I just bought new kits. Prolumen in the lows and Apexcone in the fogs on mine.

How are you guys going about retrofitting HID's? Are you using them off other cars? or a kit?
