I am currently using a set of CibiƩ headlamps that used to be on my brother's E28.

    Danny, stop talking/posting.

My car had standard parts-store sealed beam bulbs in the brackets. Any lights designed to replace a sealed beam should fit in there. Considering how many people I've heard of using the Hella H4/H1 bulbs with no problem, I can't see how there would be any significant differencees. Ellipsoid buckets are a different story.

This thread could become a headlight thread? I like having Official threads, kinda like the BBS and Recaro ones I made that seem to be successes.

The E30 has endless amounts of options for customizing. Its awesome. Glad I got one.....although my other much more expensive car and motorcycle have been neglected now, but I'm sorta on my honeymoon phase with the E30 so we're spending a lot of time together.

oh yeah, very tight. Lights are still thicker, and sealed beam ring holds it in perfect.

Damn it, I have no pics on this computer of them in. I'll take pics tomorrow.

My last problem was not having all 4 lights on at the same time. And when i first wired them in, if I turned high beams on, my passenger side would light up, both lights, but driver side would go out. not sure how, but it fixed itself after I turned lights on and off a few times.

They are bright as hell, like having 4 ellipsoid high beams.
I never thought of cutting of the tabs, I just cut new notches in the buckets. Are they nice and tight in the buckets with no tabs?

Well obviously yes I am a moron.

    Excuse my ignorance.
