Thanks for the info ^^^. Yeah I have no problem splices wires and what not. My buddy has some random headlights on his E30 M3 that look really good, but we had to fool around with some stuff.
The sets from rallylights.com wire in directly, the problem is that the "tabs" that align the lamps in the buckets are not in the right place so you need to notch the buckets to get the lights to line up properly, I used an angle grinder but a dremel or a bench grinder would work well. They look really nice and weren't too expensive, not much more than the links you're looking at.

Not if they're better or unique. I love E30's because you can do some many different things to do them. I come from the IS300 which you can't do too much to, nor would I want to do any of the stuff available to it for the most part.

I think basically anything in the 5.75" diameter will work but most will require some bucket modification. I have no idea what a jaguar headlamp bucket looks like but the guys at http://www.rallylights.com have been super helpful in specific you'll want something like these http://www.rallylights.com/hella/5.75_lo.asp HTH.

Curious if these Lucas PL700 headlights will fit on an E30: touch me please

Is there any sort of rule of thumb on how to determine headlight fitment? or perhaps a list of ones that work? I've been looking around and noticed about 5 different options so far that work.

and perhaps these ones too from the same seller (these both seem to be Jaguar headlights if that helps): Poke the link
