    e38 Elipsoids = e30 Elipsoids ???

OOPS I screwd up its an e32 at the junkyard, sorry not very familiar with 7 series.

Hey guys, I have an e30 and while at the junkyard I came across an e38 with elipsoids and wanted to know if I can use them on my car If so I will pull them out. Anyone done this before? I searched and did not find anything under e38.

    Thanks

E32 uses the same lights as the E34, and both use a different mounting setup than the e30. You might be able to adapt the buckets if you buy those, too, though.

So the buckets are wrong but I can use them to experiment with the cross hairs and blackout etc and use my buckets. If they are cheap enough I will pick them up to try it out.

      Thank you guys.

So even if the buckets are different, are the lights the same? Just pop them out of the old buckets and put them in the E30 buckets. They look the same size and have been wondering this.

The only thing you can do with those is use the lens or the internals. They will take a lot of modding to work with the e30 bracket. Even if you got it to fit, you wont be able to adjust them for shit.

My point was that they don't use the clamping setup that E30s use; they have 4 "ears" with screws int hem that mount to the adjusters.
