    HIDs for Euro smilies

    Just bought a 35w 6000k kit from DDM.Problem is
it looks like I'll have to splice into car's wiring in order
to power up the HIDs .Anyone encountered the same problem?
    Any solutions?

no likely, this topic is covered all the time.

you need to provide more pics of what youre working with. cause the majority of hid kits ive ever seen have a 9006 socket on the power wires going into the ballasts. in your case it looks like you need to chop off the terminals (which to me makes the kit look like its used, but thats just me i could be wrong) and wire the red to 12volts and the black to your ground. unless you have sealed beams this shouldnt be to hard to figure out with a voltmeter.

i guess in this case he is right though, this is a noob subject as you should be able to figure it out on your own before asking. seriously, its 2 wires?!?!

Have you ever connected a HID kit to euro lights?Because nowhere
in my post did I ask for someone as clueless as me to give me advice
on how to wire up this kit.
I get the impression that you and mr m42 only posted in order to show
the world what wise-asses you are.Nothing on the ballast connects to
the headlamp power plug. That's why I asked if anyone else had encountered the same problem.
            You and the other character ass-u-med that I didn't do a search,when
in reality,I make a point to search just so I can avoid douchebags like you.In any event I plan on resolving this problem without the help of
            any cyber jack-asses.

well, no one viewing this thread can tell what the fuck youre talking about as the only thing i can see in the pic is a hid bulb, ballast, a red and a black wire and youre fucking safety blanket. before you start accusing people of who the d bags are around here, post a legit question. because from what i see i answered your question given the information given and your sorry excuse for a picture.

It's obvious all your reading material contains pictures.
                If you were
                to read the first line of my original thread,(v e r y s l o w l y)
now go down to the sentence that starts with the word "Anyone".You
                would see
there's no need for pictures.Nor would there be a need
for you to reply to this thread.

                      We need more info.

#1, What year and model is your car?

#2, Does it have the factory wiring still intact, or is it removed/altered for the Euro lights?

#3, In order to help you, does you kit look just like the kit show below from the thread listed above? Pictures and more info are needed.

#4, Dont ask a question and then cop an attitude when people are offering advice or asking for more info, it will only hinder your request now, and any further.

Hey, I had the same issue, but I just finished installing and it works great.

First, cut off the spade connectors and pull the red and black out through the grommet.

Then drill a 1" hole in the back of the headlight cover and put the bulb in and feed the wires through the hole and fit the grommet.

Then cut your wiring harness and connect the brown to black and connect the red to the 12v source (depends on your model i think, use a test light or multimeter.

Plug the ballast into the connector from the lights and you are done.

Literally took me under an hour to do low and high beams.

Shouldnt take you more than 15 minutes, and all that work isnt needed on all setups.

Also, dont just connect based on color. Use a meter or the like to check your wires and connections.

Hey thanks for those that posted some info in here. So i take it that the HID male connecters with the black and red wires are what plugs into the car's harness. And depending on the car's year that will determine whether its plug and play or if you need to do some cutting. Right?

The black and red are what connect to the wiring harness, I am pretty sure it won't be plug and play. If you had US headlamps in there you will need to cut the plugs (that go to the sealed beams) off and then use the multimeter to find the hot and ground (with the low beams on only) and you will be good.
