    Map light install

Ok so I got the mirror with the map lights and am going to install it sometime. When I took it out of the other car, the wiring was ran inside of the body and not light the power sunroof cable. So instead of pulling it all the way through and feeding it back that way I should be able to tap into the sun roof power supply right?

You can tap into the wiring off of the check panel, just match the colors up. there are two of the same color on one of the wires, and you just have to make sure one has the 12v. I ran the wire through the body, and it honestly wasn't "that" hard. takes a little time though...

No check panel? What do you drive?

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

you run it down to the connector that is behind the speaker on the driver's kick panel.

A 318? The check panel blanks don't have an live 12v source.

You can run it from the lights over the doors.

I ran my custom dome light power to the existing dome lights. It's pretty easy to do with the hanging headliner.

I do have a check panel. I was thinking that i might just run the cable with the power sunroof cable instead of running it through the body like it is now. Can't wait to install it and have to car running.

just run it to the fuse/junction box. that way you can wire it up so that it goes off when you pull your keys out.-- never know in the summer if someone plays witht eh switches and leaves the lights on= dead battery.
