    Clear Lens/Amber Bulbs

So I received my MHW clear lenses but I don't want to run the amber lens insert so need to find amber bulbs. Currently has clear Osram 7528 dual filaments. Anyone know the correct amber euro fitment bulb # and where to find them?

Went to Auto Zone and bought 1157A's and they work fine. What is it about the "euro" bulbs that makes them different? Just don't last as long or what?

why don't you buy those bulbs that are covered with silver. i don't know what they are called but they look best with clear lenses.

I've seen those, but don't want to risk being pulled over for not having signals that flash yellow.

My real question was, is there a difference between the usual bulbs at Auto Zone and the "euro fitment" bulbs and is there a replacement in amber...

those bulbs do blink Amber, they just look silver when not light up

actually a "euro bulb" wouldnt work in the front of your car. euro cars have no parking light in the turn signal and therefore only have a single filament bulb/holder.

Can I find the silver coated bulbs at local auto stores?--I know I've seen them before, but didn't realize they lit up amber.

Yeah, don't the euro cars have a separate small bulb for parking light, and another for turn signal? What I meant by "euro fitment" was that I was trying to figure out the diff between typical U.S. bulbs for a Ford, etc., and the bulbs for european cars you buy at a BMW dealer. Something about the base material being different--i.e. brass? Had an E36 w/tail light problem that would give a bad signal to OBC and ended up being the bulb.

So is there any real difference between the typical Sylvania brand at Auto Zone and the dealer bulbs?
