Bought my H4 and H1 upgrade. H4 Low/Highs went in just fine. Worked. Installed the right H1 and tried it. No light at all when I put on high beam (nor High beam on the new H4). Wires seem idiot proof...brown to brown, white to white. Checked fuses...all seem okay. Put the old sealed high beam bulb in...now it doesn't work and when I go to high beams, new H4 high beam does not work(again, this is only right side as I didn't even get to left...left highs and lows work fine). Looked through posts and cannot find similar prob. Any ideas? Thx.

Hella H1 High Beam Install Trouble

There are four fuses that control the headlamps.
Fuses 13 and 14 are for the low beams. When you switch to high beams, both the second filament of the H4 and the H1 high beam are powered through through Fuses 1 and 2. Because the power demand is increased, the stock 7.5 amp fuses will pop. You need to install 10 amp fuses.

agreed on the fuses... i just did this upgrade and my fuses popped immediately. upgraded them and they are good to go. im debating whether to go with 80/100 bulbs and upgrade the wiring or just get osram nightbreaker bulbs which are supposedly 90% brighter without any extra current draw... for just hassle avoidance the osrams are mighty tempting... ive found its cheaper to buy them overseas and have them shipped over...
