    HID

Passenger side foglight was kept halogen for comparison in the pic.

6000 Kelvin Low Beams and 6000 Kelvin Foglights (H1/H3). Enjoy, God knows I am. They're more incredible than I expected.

haha, no, not really. But nothing looks worse than xenon headlights and normal halogen foglights IMO and I'm not into yellow fogs on the e30. Plus, I've never seen another e30 with matching xenon lows and fogs before, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm the first. ;)

EDIT: thought a little about it, i think we get maybe one day a year with noticeable fog, no hurricanes or tornados either (southern IL gets tornados though). Come to think of it, Chicago weather is great, now we just have to do something about winter and we'll be set.

When you pay way under distributor cost...is it really spending that much?? Haha...You guys have to remember that I simply don't do something unless I do it for way less than practically anyone else would be able to. Friends rock.

So why don't you help us out and give us some low prices on that stuff? Perhaps a group buy from your friends.

Nice HID kit by the way!

My friend is Nick Majka (Inspar8r) who most of you know of and he has tried doing GB's in the past, but E30 owners are simply too cheap and getting enough "for sure" interest is difficult. Plus, you can't expect to pay what I did simply because it's not fair to him. It takes time and effort and he needs to make a profit off selling to the general public.

If you want to guage some interest and find out how many people you can get for sure, then I'll let him know and see if he is willing to do it. But I won't even mention it to him unless you can find some SERIOUS interest.

I asked Nick yesterday what he wanted to do.

For R3v members, he's willing to do:

$350 -normal cost per kit (2 bulbs, 2 ballasts)
                          GB's:
                          $340 -5 people
                          $325 -10 people
                          Prices plus shipping from Chicago.

The kits are the best quality and absolute best on the market, made by Acumen. To give you guys an idea on this pricing, Misterjung's kits are $400 and they have had numerous problems. Misterjung advertises Hella as the best Ballast Manufacturer. Hella is NOT the best ballast on the market, Acumen's is.
The Acumen Ballast has an operating range that dwarfs Hella's, a more powerful power source with start-up reaching 23,000 Volts, Flickerless Warmup, smaller easier to place and perfectly constructed ballast, and is more efficient. And of course all bulbs are perfect plug'n'play into the housing with the HID capsule placed exactly where you're existing halogen filament used to be for exact beam pattern. I'll be happy to email a powerpoint presentation on Acumen and their HID kits to whomever is interested.
