    100 watt bulbs

I have the ellipsoids that use the 9005 and the 9006 bulbs
noticed that my high beam bulbs are availble in 100 watt
now maybe not "street legal" but ..............
anyway.... will the wiring, reflectors etc handle 100 watts per high beam

otherwise all I find are 65 watt high beams at the local auto stores

    cant afford to go HID

well at 12v your 100W bulbs will draw about 8 amps since the fuses in the headlight circuit are 7.5A i would say your fuses will blow. Now don't be a smart ass and put a higher rated fuse in there, the reason for the fuse is to prevent the wire from starting on fire and well you might get away with it you may not.

safer to go up one or two sizes in wire gauge and fuse rating

I ran some 100W bulbs in my euro ellips for a good half a year-- no problems and they were really bright-- but I changed them back cause I was tired of the oncoming cars flashing me for being to bright.
