    Wiring + Central Locking Unit

Well I had no idea my car had power locks until I tried to sell it. Since then it has been bugging me, so I picked up a central locking unit and threw it in. In th eprocess I noticed a hanging wire behind the kick panel speaker that looked cut and out of place. Well no matter, I threw in the unit. Now my trunk, gas cap, and passenger door work great but the drivers door has no response to anything.

The key works in the door and I feel resistance. I took off the door card and hunted around and everything looks okay to me. Granted I don't know what I'm looking at.

So I got to thinking about that cut wire. It's brown/blue striped and hanging down behind that kick panel speaker in the central locking area. I went back in there today and I get the feeling it needs to be connected to something I just have no idea where it goes at all.

I know this is vague but I'm hoping someone could identify the problem.

This is the wire that has been cut. :/

The blurry wire is the cut one and the green/purple wire is the wire that comes out of the main bundle right next to the one that has been cut. To me it kind of looks like the cut wire should go in that connecter but what do I know?

    Important?

Brown/Blue wire is not used in the circuit. See this: http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/19...g%20Manual.pdf

    Good luck.

Thank you, I've never read a wire diagram so I'll take your word for it. I really have no clue what I'm doing.

So if I feel resistance in turning the key in the door does that mean my actuator could be bad?

Or what's this about the locks being double locked?

The passenger door reguires that you turn it left to lock and right to unlock which seems a big odd to me.
