    The long bolt should have a little metal angle bracket foot thing on it take a look at one of the parts pimps sites (real OEM or whatever)

    ok thats good news. so since my battery needs to be replaced i will get a mt91 style.

    No it's an MT91 or MTP91 from Interstate Battery (used to be called an MB66) I'm sure a lot of manufactures and suppliers still have direct replacements for them.

    Very common European battery.

    started a topic what supposed to be holding my battery?

    what supposed to be holding my battery?

    i have a late model (90). whats supposed to be holding my battery down? i still gots the plastic tray for it, and thats good. then there is a long thin bolt on the back that just kind of wedges the battery. i know this isnt how it supposed to be.

    anyone offer any insight on proper battery mounting?
