    CDX-M91 CD Changer compatibility

    Hi there folks,
I have a OE CD changer model CDX-M91 (pioneer) and cables. I am wondering if anyone has a pin out / wiring diagram for this changer. Also, a head unit compatibility list would be great. Specifically, I am wondering if it would work with either a c33/c43 (alpine) or KE83 zbm (pioneer). Thanks.

C33/43, no. KE83, if round plug, is OK.

      .

Thanks. Round plug on the back of the HU = ok right?

Still interested in pin outs for CDX-M91 and KE83.

Upon further research it looks like any of the following will work with the CDX-M91 with no adaptor.

        KE93zbm
        CM5903L
        KE91zbm v4
        KE91zbm

and most likely these as well.

        KE91zbm
        CM5901
        KE83zbm
        CM5908

Are you sure that the c33 / c43 will not work?

The tape deck that was working with the CDX-M91zbm has a 10 pin square plug for the changer control.

10 pin square plug? Rectangular, maybe? I can't remember (anything at fucking all, ever, dammit!) seeing a square plug, but in 90-91 there was a rectangular plug, but I only saw it on E34/E32.

The CD 33/43 will for damn sure not work, but if it is a late model deck you have a databus adapter available for it that makes a true iPod/AUX in work great.

Tell me what you are trying to do here, maybe I can help?

Correct, it is a rectangular plug on the back of the headunit. I have a CDX-M91 and am planning on throwing it in the trunk and running it through a stock deck. Nothing fancy, just looking for stock look for now. I think I found pin outs here
