I have a low profile, amplified Sub under my seat.
It doesn't shake my car apart, rattle windows 3 blocks away, or set off car alarms, which is just what I want and provides enough "boom" and bass for my needs and I don't have to give up most of my trunk space or add hundreds of pounds of extra weight to my car.
It can also be mounted vertically behind the driver seat as well, but I prefer it under the seat where it is out of view.
I have a Infinity Basslink in my car. When the top is up, it sounds really nice. Nice deep bass.
When i put the top down, you lose some of the bass. I wish there wasn't a metal wall between the rear sear and the trunk. I may look into a low profile sub. But over all the basslink is a very good sub.
If my Basslink was in a coupe, perhaps it would sound very nice all the time!

The Infinity looks like a nice option. I would like to mount one behind my driver seat in the rear passenger footwell.
A Bazooka tube might be a good option for those who don't want to give up a bunch of trunk space, or even mount one behind the driver seat unless you regularly have rear seat passengers which most of us don't as these cars are really 2-seaters.
While the Boss Bass low profile powered sub doesn't shake the earth, you don't lose much bass when dropping the top because the boom is coming from under your seat.
I bet the Infinity would kick ass if you moved it to the rear passenger footwell behind the driver seat.
