are there any flush head units?

i think the #1 reason that aftermarket head units look crap is that they stick out 3 inches from the dash.

are there any flush head units out there? units that dont have that annoying plastic trim all around? i dont need a dam detacheable face plate!

help me out before i re-install the stock radio.

the cd43 is almost flush... sticks out very minimally compared to most aftermarket units. Also I have seen some people modify the ridge the headunit mounts to so it sits farther back in the dash.

Hopefully soem one has soem pics and a writeup of this somewhere...

Pioneer decks fit nicely, with the trim ring recessed about 1mm behing hte face of the dash.

Unfortunately, the lighting is all blue.

yeha ive been looking at the pioneers for a while now. how does lighting work in these head units... i imagine it's LED? that would be a pain to convert to orange. or is it just white light with blue condoms?
