    Blinker trouble, help!

So my turn signals started acting up a while back. The right turn signal would blink really fast, like a bulb was out, but both bulbs were working, except the front right would be dimmer than the rest.

I went to the junkyard and picked up the hazard warning relay (number 3- http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...38&hg=61&fg=25) and replaced it.

It worked fine for half a day and just tonight it's doing the same thing. Could the bulb be shorting out the relay? Earlier when it was working fine all bulbs were lit brightly, now that the right blinker is "broken" again, it went back to being dim.

    :/

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

The dim bulb means that the bulb isn't getting full voltage.
The fast blinking means that the relay isn't seeing a full load (more resistance).

This means that there is likely corrosion in the plug for the front turn signal. Remove the plug and clean the terminals with a wire brush and try again.

I noticied a few days ago when I was installing my OBC, that the turn signals don't work at all w/o a Hazard switch. So, possibly something is wrong with yours that it effects it in this matter? Just something easy to try.

I also have this exact same problem! Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. So frustrating.

Check the grounds as well. Bunch of brown wires right behind driver side headlamp.
