Hello! Noob here, I recently purchased a 1991 e30 convertible for my wife and am putting in a new head unit. I don't want to cut the connectors off of the input/output at the amp to splice them. Would it be possible to make jumper wires instead? If so, can anyone point me in the direction of what pins I would need to crimp on for the jumpers?
Also, if that isn't possible or will not work well, I'm just going to install an aftermarket amp......is it a big pita to get power and 4rca plugs into the trunk? What path do you guys usually take on the convertibles? And can I mount an amp right to that back seat wall so all the other factory wiring attaches up nice? How would you guys suggest I mount it? I'm trying to be as least invasive as possible and not cut the car up.
Thanks for any advice! Glad I found the forum, it looks like a huge rabbit hole I standing at the edge of hahah.
