Slight Alt. whine & speaker "pop"

Chris,

Is the amp still grounded directly to the battery? I've never had good luck doing that, try grounding to the rear seat belt mounting points.

The fact that you have tried a new amp as well as tried a new source(ipod) and still have issues is puzzling to me...

I'll try both the rear seat belt mount and the main ground spot under the rear seat as well and see if that helps.

Here is something else I just discovered:

With my Ipod connected via RCA's to the REAR input on the amp, I am getting almost equivalent sound through both FRONT & REAR speakers? Is that normal? I assumed with no input through the Front channel that these speakers wouldn't get a signal?

All 4 speaker/tweeter combo's are putting out almost identical levels of sound. The Rear channel input on the amp is set to "L/R Stereo"

This is also the case with the Ipod connected to only the Front channel as well.

I'm not familiar with the amp but it sounds like the input configuration, if the amp has it, may be set wrong. What are your choices on the input selection?

The Rear Input Switch is currently in "(Stereo L-R)"

Does the rear input switch have 3 positions or 2?
