i pod tape connector to OEM radio.

Like the title says i recently bought one of those I-Pod tape player connectors for my OEM radio. Well I tried using it and all I get is the tape player making some werid noise. I'm not really sure what to do, so if anybody had some experience here I could defuinately use it.

Also if tis doesn't work, I think my OEM radio is a little shot anyways, so does anybody know of a good one with the same color lighting that also has an i pod feature, as well as maybe some decent speakers?

    Thanks
