checheck out what i made from some old bmw speakers

this box sounds really good with these speakers. they sound a lot better then they ever did in my car! i know the box is not beautiful but it works really well! i just got excited by how nice they sound and wanted to share...

i wanted the box to be nice and thin because it travels around the garage with me so i wanted to make it portable and small so i can hang it places.
    super clean sounding!

Haha, I like it. That's a creative use. What're you powering them with?

That is neat. I was thinking of making a pair of rears into PC speakers.

Did you wire those in series or parallel?

They look like they would sound pretty decent.

If you decide you want more bass out of them, measure the inside specs and I can show you how to make them ported.

that would be grate!!! the inside from front to back is 2 1/4" from top to bottom the inside is around 15" and side to side around 6"...
is that the info you needed? i think they are wired in series. i dont know any of the technical jargon...
the tweeter is wired to the top speaker and then the wires from the two big speakers run together to the plug in the back.

              So 15X2.5X6= 225 cubic inches

              225(which I think is wrong...measure again, I bet that is bigger) / 1728 = .13 cubic feet.

Akshully, I am not even gonna bother until you measure again!

That looks more like .5 cubic feet, unless my eyes suck ass.

oh shit, they do...well, try it again with a tape.

ok. as soon as i get home i will take some better measurements. so the math above will determine the size of the port?

Yeah, internal airspace vs. driver design (which I only get to ballpark) vs. intended usage, basically.
