How to wire Premium front seperates w/ aftermarket amp

So I'm in the process of installing a new set-up in my car.

It's a '91 with Premium sound. I'm installing an Alpine CDA-9856 that I have laying around along with a Image Dynamics ID8 and plan to power the ID8 and front factory seperates with a US Acoustics 4085 4-channel amp. I've deleted the rear speakers completely.

My question is this; are there factory crossovers? I am trying to figure out how to wire the factory front seperates to the amp.

I've searched on here and found that the premium speakers aren't bad run through an aftermarket amp, but couldn't find how to properly do it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

On premium speakers the crossover is attached to the bass inputs on the speaker itself.

So how do I wire up an aftermarket amp to the factory premium seperates (front only)?

Are the factory front seperates daisy chained? Meaning does the wiring come into the woofer and then go out to the tweeter? So I would only have to run new wiring the factory woofers?

If so which wires do I connect to on the factory woofers? There are three currently (see picture).

Yes - they are daisy chained - so yes, you'd run the wires to the woofers and then let the 'integrated crossover' and stock wiring take care of the tweeter. However, our resident stereo installer has suggested multiple times that further upgrading to modern discrete crossovers by diking out the existing circuit on the woofer is preferrable. I am not a professional, neither am I an expert, but I would leave that for last. Do all of the rest first, as you described.

The easy way is just use the stock wires in the trunk to run the fronts.

I have the interior completely out of the car currently, so would it be easier to just run new wire directly from the speaker to the new amp?

Am I correct in assuming that the light blue with red stripe and the light blue with the purple stripe in the picture are the two I should be replacing?

            Thanks nmlss2006 and StereoInstaller1.

Believe it or not, the stock wire is fucking terrific.

Only replace it if you have to, or if you are doing serious gear.

But, to answer your question, grey/red and grey/purple would be the pair, yes.
