:oops: im a little embarressed but i don't know how to wire the headunit in my 86' 325. from my headunit there is a battery, ground, ILL, system remote control, mute and ACC wires. The car has Antenna, Dimmer, ACC, Constant, and ground. What matches with what??? How do i rewire the speakers. PLEASE HELP!!

is your car amplified? If not just use those wire harness kit you can buy from audio stores. It's just matching the wires, its as hard as pumping gas.
Existing radio wiring:
White – Antenna
Red/Grey – dimmer
Purple/Grey – ACC
Red/Green – Constant
Ground – Brown
Left pos - Yellow
Left neg - Yellow/Brown
Right pos - Blue
Right neg - Blue/Brown~ Go Canucks Go! ~

it took me a while to figure out where each wire went. I had no wiring harness, so I spliced them in. I didn't have a premium speaker system, either, but it was still annoying shit. I had zero help/references used installing mine and got it to work. If you looked at a webpage detailing each wire color and where it goes and can't figure it out, take it to a professional before you render the head unit useless. my whole car is rewired now, btw. factory wiring is noisy shit. :)I retired my E30 for now...
