Brand new clarion head unit with USB and Ipod controls, color match display to match amber perfectly. Installed premium front sound speakers, upgraded from ancient coax..Put in new 6x9's in the rear deck..Infinity Kappa to replace completely blown ancient blaukpunks. Running them with a 4 channel 40w Sony..Knocked out the ski pass and Installed Infinity 10inch sub to replace part of my trunk I really wasn't using anyway..running it with 200w MTX amp..All in all 7 new speakers and 2 amps plus a new headunit...took me a month to collect everything, half a day to put in and it all worked perfectly the first time!! No engine noise..LOUD and CLEAR!!! I love it..I tuned the amps today and it really came alive, none of the gains on the amps are even at half way..Just thought I would throw out a thread with some good news instead of the usual plea for help..LOL..anyway thanks to this forum and others for my audio lesson..I have not installed a stereo in a car since high school almost 15 years ago...

I'm guessing you went with the clarion dxz785usb? I have that in my car and it is amazing. When people say there is a lot of features to it, they are not lying. Multiple frequency and X-over adjustments for each speaker. A great HU for the money.-tim

I've have the DXZ785USB for over a year now and it rocks.
Tons of adjustments and a bit of a learning curve, but once it's dialed in it sounds great.
I replaced my rear speakers and added a low profile amp/sub under the driver seat and it sounds great.
Eventually will replace the speakers in the kicks and install some better ones in the doors.
The black face with white lettering and amber illumination is a big plus as is the ability to play music from a USB stick, iPod/iPhone or just about any other MP3 player.sigpic
