    i need your opinions guys!

i want a good sound system but i dont want anything too big and heavy for the car.And also i want a little but not too much bass so i was thinking on installing two of these in my rear deck.

Do you guys think it's doable? What amp should i use for two of these?
All opinions and flames are welcome!thanks guys

What I think is that a Fs of 38Hz and a Qtc of .4, with a 13mm XMAX should sound OK, and play fairly low.

The 83db sensitivity means this thing is never ever gonna play loud, but WTF, how much are you looking for?

Power handling should be OK with damn near any amp...if you wanted to be able to get every damn bit of loud out of them, a basic 500WRMS 2 ohm mono amp would rock their world.

50WRMS power handling is kind of suprising, considering the 1.5" voice coil...should be more like 200RMS.

Anyway, WTF, give them a try!

Excellent performance installed in auto rear deck

My Toyota has a 6 1/2" factory cut-out in the rear deck. I didn't want to lose any trunk space with a bass box. These drivers fit in the factory cut-outs. With 13mm x-max, they perform more like a much larger driver. To greatly improve bass response and dampen deck vibrations, I bolted 5 lbs. of lead to the center bottom rear deck. I'm driving these with a $30.00 MTX 50 watt RMS / channel amp. I set the crossover to 120Hz. They have great midbass impact and also go down really low. I'm using Dayton's PA-130-8 5" PA drivers and ND20FA-6 tweeters (shelved -12dB) in the doors. These Dayton drivers way out perform Polk door speakers that I replaced and cost 1/3rd as much.

Curious about this too as I was looking at these same speakers for a while, I was toying with the idea of a PVC pipe box for them..decided I didn't know what the hell I was talking about and that I should just shut up...plus the pipe would have to be too long.

3mm xmax will not get you far and the basket looks rather flimpsy.
