Converting to Non Airbag from Airbag

Since I have read that a SRS light will be presented if I just removed my Airbag steering wheel and added a non-airbag wheel what would be the best way to convert to non airbag? Is there a way to circumvent the electronics or just remove the bulb behind the SRS indicator?

    Other solutions?

remove the bulb, then get a check panel without an SRS indicator.

So, the SRS indicator being triggered and the bulb removed will not cause some computer flag to be set that influences some other circuit or sensor to operate incorrectly?

I realize this is a really old post but in case people are searching, they can find a useful answer.

              From a Pelican Technical Article:

"After you remove the lower plastic cover, you can see the collection of wires underneath. Unplug and unclip the neon orange air bag connector prior to removing the steering wheel. If you remove the air bag, you need to trick the air bag computer into thinking that it’s still connected. Place a 3.3-ohm resistor across the two terminals of the connector to indicate to the computer that the air bag is still in place, instead of triggering the air bag lamp. This should allow the system to continue to properly control and operate the passenger’s side air bag."
